Tamboli Community

We are officially listed as an "Other Backward Caste" or OBC in several states. Other castes in this list include Teli, Thathera, Sirkiwal and Rawat. Our community name is also spelled as Tamoli. However, in Andhra Pradesh we come under the umbrella of the Mali caste which also includes Bare, Barai and Marar.
